Nutrition in Our Lives | |||||||||||||||||
My web site page was designated to help anyone with questions about dietetics. I got the chance to speak with Monica Nelson, Rd. She is currently working at Brandywine Hospital in Coastesville Pennsylvania. She attended Cornell University for her Bachelor's degree and then went on to N.Y.U. for her Graduate degree. In speaking with Monica I was able to ask her some questions about the field of dietetics. One question I really wanted to ask her was what led her to make her decision to become a dietitian and if she was still happy with her decision. She answered that she became interested in dietetics because her father needed to be put on a therapeutic diet. She realized that she could make a living out of doing this for people like her father. Her answer to the question if she was still happy with her decision, was no because she worked ten hour days and fifty hour weeks. She felt that she did not see any results for the work she was putting in her job. I was able to ask Monica Nelson a few more questions and I also continued my search on some other web sites. |

During my search for these questions and answers I have become more interested in the food and nutrition career. I like to see the results of helping people and educating them. I was excited to see that a job in this field was not sitting behind a desk for the entire day. I also more interested because this field has become more excited and is no longer limited to a certain area. You can now work in a variety of places doing many different jobs. My search also allowed me to see where the future job opportunities will be and it gave me the outlook for the industry. | ||||||||||||||||
